Abstract submissions are now being accepted into the 2023 conference program for:

  1. An oral presentation* or
  2. A poster presentation or
  3. Both an oral presentation* and a poster presentation or
  4. A full one-hour session (panel or workshop)**. 

* In addition to a poster presentation, your abstract might be selected for an oral presentation in the conference program, by invitation of the Program Committee. 
** You can alternatively indicate if you would like to be considered for an entire one-hour session (which may be a panel or workshop), by invitation of the Program Committee.  
 
NOTES:
  • You can indicate if you would like to be considered for an oral presentation only, a poster presentation only, or both, during the abstract submission process.
  • You can alternatively indicate if you would like to be considered for an entire one-hour session (which may be a panel or workshop).
  • For your oral abstract to be accepted, you must be a registered and fully paid delegate.
  • Poster presenters must register for at least day one of the conference to participate in the networking drinks and poster discussants session taking place at the end of day one.
  • However, you can register and pay once you have been notified if your abstract has been successful.

IMPORTANT DATES:
  • Abstract submissions close: 08:00 AEDT on Monday 19 December 2022.
  • Abstract Authors Notified: from Monday 19 December 2022.
 
SUBMISSION PROCESS:
  • Create a Login [username and password] - click on Login above to commence the process.

  • Complete your 'my profile'.
    • Enter your full name, organisation and other personal details, as the presenting author.
    • Add your biography (max 100 words).
    • Upload a photograph of yourself as a .jpg or .png, as the presenting author. 
    • These may be included on the SoERC website and in the conference program.
 
SUBMITTING YOUR ABSTRACT:
 
Once you have completed the Login process and are logged in:
  • Click on the Submissions tab.
  • Enter the title for your abstract - maximum 75 words.
  • Indicate if you wish to be considered for:
    • an oral presentation only
    • a poster presentation only
    • an oral presentation and a poster presentation
    • a session (panel or workshop)
    • Oral presentations and sessions are by invitation only, decided by the Program Committee and subject to available space in the conference program.
  • You may add the name/s and organisation/s of any co-authors if you wish.
  • Select the theme you are submitting your abstract under.
  • Enter the text of your abstract - maximum 400 words. (You can copy and paste the text into the text field. Note: word limit strictly no more than 400 words; Images and tables are not accepted at this stage.)

TO SAVE YOUR SUBMISSION:
  • You can choose to ‘save and continue’ to return later, or
  • You can submit your abstract immediately by selecting ‘save and submit’

ACCEPTANCE PROCESS:
  • Notifications will come from the Conference Managers on Monday 12 December 2022.
  • The notification will include specific presentation instructions.
