According to Music Oz http://rudelyinterrupted.com/about-the-band/ and Can-Do- Musos http://www.candomusos.com/profile-rudely-interrupted.php
Rudely Interrupted is one of Australia’s most unique indie rock acts; touring and releasing their brand of pitch-perfect indie rock/love/pop across the Globe since 2007. This remarkable group of unlikely rock stars have carved out a sonic signature all of their own; firmly cementing their music in the world’s cultural heritage. ‘Here’s a group of unlikely rockers, making serious music and seriously impressing people the world over, they are the real deal’.
‘Lets get the elephants out of the room: Rohan Brooks (42) was born with red hair, Rory Burnside (26) was born without eyes and lives with autism, Josh Hogan (26, drums) lives with physical and intellectual differences and Sam Beke (28) lives with Down syndrome’.
Rory Burnside
Rory’s attention to
sonic detail comes from his natural ability for recognising perfect pitch.
Rory’s wealth of experience is due to his father and music producer, Jonathan
Burnside’s professional music production business.
Joshua Hogan
Josh had never played
drums before joining Rudely Interrupted in 2006. “Josh literally sat behind the
drum kit and co-ordinated a rock beat”.
Sam Beke
Sam has been
performing with Rudely Interrupted since conception, sometimes trying his hand
at bass and usually ending up on the floor in a non choreographed dance
explosion.
Rohan Brooks
Rohan has been a
professional musician since 1991. He has toured the world with the likes of
JET, Tim Finn, The Vines and many others. Rohan was awarded disability support
worker of the year for his work with Rudely Interrupted and has developed and
supported the group’s future since founding in 2006.
